Summary
During the tenure of my Masters program, I was part of the Collaborative and Social Computing Lab. For my Masters Research Project, I developed a web application prototype that introduces a novel approach to help improve the health and well-being of workers who have been forced to work remotely due to the global pandemic. The application retrieves users' real time Fitbit sensing data and allows them to share data with a potential supporter. The supporter can help set daily goals from a pre populated list of activites in the application. In return, the supporters can also share their data with the user for the latter to set daily goals. To strenghten mutual trust, the application allows both user and supporter to rate each other on a scale of 5 as a form of virtual reward.
During the tenure of the project, I learned how to identify user needs through need finding and iteration to develop a logical solution.
